2. Many terms have been used to describe this concept of sustainability. Both academic and company use of the words and the concepts vary widely. In some companies or countries, it may be more common to use corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship, sustainability, sustainable development, corporate accountability, stakeholder management, or a variety of other terms. In this book, I will at times use many of these terms to describe the focus of improving the social, environmental, and economic impacts of corporate products, services, processes, and activities.
