This chapter has focused on techniques for summarizing, making statements about population from samples, and quantifying relationships in the data. There are a number of introductory statistical books that provide an overview of the theory behind these techniques including the central limits theorem: Donnelly (2004), Freedman (1997), Rumsey (2003), Kachigan (1991), and Levine (2005).
