180-degree line

Imaginary axis that connects two subjects (guided by their respective gazes) or is defined by directional movement and provides a constriction for camera movement. Remaining on one side of the line maintains consistent continuity of screen direction.

ADR

Automatic dialogue replacement; a technique used most commonly in fiction films where inferior audio, recorded in the field, is replaced by having actors come into a studio, watch the film, listen to the field recording, and respeak their lines in a controlled environment. Also called looping.
