9.3. The Project Manager

Martha picked up her pencil and tapped the next name on the list. "What about the project manager? What are you supposed to contribute?"

That was easy. "The finished product, as it was spelled out in the objective statement. I get to do all of the actual work."

Martha nodded. "That's essentially it. Of course, good communication with your sponsor and good planning techniques, as well as lots of performance management tricks, will help you to deliver the product, but you'll find out more about those later." It sounded like a lot of work to me.
