COMMONALITIES WHAT GOES WRONG

 

Each of the games we examined in Part 1 of this book was an enormous triumph, both critically and commercially. This collection of 10 featured games, while a tiny subset, represents some of the ‘greatest hits’ out of the thousands of video games produced on various platforms over the past several years. By any measure, these projects were incredibly successful. Yet all projects face a wide variety of challenges, and, with the benefit of hindsight, there are always elements of the creation and development process that the creators feel could have been handled differently or gone more smoothly.
