DINER DASH

 

One of the first massive hits in the world of PC-based, downloadable casual games, Diner Dash arguably helped get the ball rolling with the try-and-buy business model of selling video games. Created in Director by New York City-based Gamelab and launched by publisher PlayFirst as a downloadable title in late 2004, Diner Dash is an action strategy game that helped define a new genre of games to come: time management.

Diner Dash has evolved into its own industry, with direct ports to a wide variety of platforms including the Nintendo DS, Xbox Live Arcade, scores of mobile phones, and as a launch title on Apple's iPad.
