About the Author
Timothy Samara is a graphic designer and educator based in New York City, where he divides his time between teaching at the School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology, and writing and consulting through STIM Visual Communication. His design work focuses on identity development and information design for corporate and nonprofit clients, in projects spanning print, environmental, and digital media. He has taught and lectured at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia; Newhouse School of Communications, Syracuse University; Western Michigan University; Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York; and SUNY Fredonia.
