Adam Wolf: You created Tindie, a marketplace for “indie electronics.” It’s often described as Etsy for Makers. How would you describe it?
Emile Petrone: The way that we describe Tindie is a marketplace for the things you love. Basically, it started off as a site for my personal hobbies—DIY electronics, Arduino, and all that fun stuff, and I couldn’t find a good marketplace for what I was interested in. It started out purely for my personal hobbies, turned into a hobby of itself, and obviously then a business. But, the way we look at it is basically just a marketplace for whatever you love.
