Production companies and film studios receive hundreds of resumes each week. Sometimes they are geared towards a specific position, and sometimes they are general, as in “please keep me in mind if there is anything appropriate.” Even if you have direct contact with someone at a company or studio and you are encouraged to send them your resume, the resumes are almost always forwarded to the Human Resources (HR) department.
