Quick Changes
Sometimes there is a need for a very quick change of costume and make-up when shooting cannot stop for long, for example when transmitting a ‘live’ show or a situation comedy with an audience. Obviously this limits what can be done but, with the right kind of preparation, changes can be made.
All departments need to be alerted to the fact that a quick change will take place and it needs to be planned in advance:
make-up, hair and costume personnel need to plan how the change is to take place. It may be that clothes are changed before any alterations to hair or make-up;
it may be necessary to have help, e.g. one person holding ...
