Why make props?

The answer to that question is simple: Sometimes you want to possess something that doesn’t even exist.

For most people, there have been plenty of times in their lives when they’ve been watching a movie or TV show, or playing a video game, and found themselves wishing they could be more like the characters on the screen. People who make up words for things call this form of dreaming escapism, and it’s one of the main reasons these kinds of entertainment exist. No matter what shape daily life may take, people can take a break and be spirited away to whole different worlds that are more to their liking.
