When You Need to See Both Sides

In the last chapter, you learned how to make molds out of a single block of silicone. Of course, even with vents to let the bubbles out and relief cuts to make demolding easier, one-piece molds still have their limitations. For example, suppose you’re working on a piece that is a bit too long or tall to be reliably mounted inside of a mold box. There’s no reason to run the risk of having the prototype fall over after pouring rubber on it, which you’ll only find out after the whole thing has cured.
