CHAPTER 2PAPER CIRCUITS

Strange as it may seem, you can make an electrical circuit on a piece of paper. Stick-on LEDs and conductive materials make it possible to create everything from animated greeting cards to toys that twinkle and twirl.

Rather than connecting an LED directly to a battery, as you do when you make a Glowie (page 14), the projects in this chapter separate the battery from the bulb, connecting them instead with tracks of conductive copper tape. When everything is aligned correctly, the copper tape carries the electrical charge from the battery to the LED, lighting it up.
