You will need
Dimensional lumber, 2×4, 8' length straight and smooth, with as few knots as possible. A nominal 2×4 actually measures 1½"×3½"
Drywall screws, 15⁄8" (32)
Wood glue
Saw I recommend a table saw or band saw, though a portable circular saw or even a handsaw could work if you’re careful
Drill with 1⁄8" twist bit and Phillips screwdriver bits
