Chapter 10. Making Noise
Remember the gentle ting ting sound of the classic bike bell from your childhood? Every bike needs a noisemaker, like a horn or bell. It’s how you warn pedestrians that you’re about to bowl them over. As far as this book is concerned, your bike’s noisemaker is yet another thing you can customize. This chapter shows how to make a cool synthesizer horn (Figure 10-1), as well as a motion-sensing bike alarm. Both utilize the same basic method for creating noise: telling the Arduino to send a signal to a speaker.
