The story of this book begins about the time that I was finishing Beginning RPG Maker VX Ace.Ben Renow-Clarke expressed interest in my writing a second book concerning the engine, a book a reader could follow through and finish within a single weekend. I immediately rose to the challenge and decided that the simplest type of game to make within the engine would be a dungeon crawler. It was then that I began to create the game and write the book in parallel.
