Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 is a tool for developing Web sites and pages. Unlike code editors, such as HomeSite, Dreamweaver is a visual editor that enables you to edit pages in an interface similar to a word processor. Dreamweaver’s robust Code view (discussed in Chapter 13, “Editing Code”) makes it possible for you to edit the code directly when you need to.
Dreamweaver is the best visual editor available; it’s not only easy to use, but it also produces clean code that adheres to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) specifications, even if you edit a page many times.
