Dreamweaver users know “layers” as <div> tags that use an absolute position defined within inline styles. Whether you call them layers or by any other name, it doesn’t matter to me. (Hey, whatever makes you happy. I mean, you can call them shnicklegroobers for all I care, really.) But sooner or later you’re going to need layers for a project and you’re going to want to know all the coolest tips for using them in Dreamweaver. You may even get so inspired that you’ll try to design your very first site without tables—unless you need to display tabular data, of course.
