Lesson 14. Managing Your Site

Developing a Website generally begins with the planning phase, during which you conceive of the idea for a site, develop the site file and navigational structures, gather content, and design the look and feel of the site. These steps of preparation usually occur before you start working in Macromedia Dreamweaver—for the project site you are working with throughout this book, Yoga Sangha, these steps were already done for you, as described in Lesson 1. The planning phase is followed by the production phase, during which you use Dreamweaver to build and test the actual pages of a site, as you learned to do over the course of Lessons 2 through 13.
