Nearly everyone has heard of the World Wide Web. But what exactly is this so-called Web, and how is it different from this Internet we've also heard so much about? Well, it's pretty simple, really. The Internet, which came about 20 years before the Web, is what it sounds like: an interconnected network of computers all over the world. When you dial up your Internet service provider, you are taking a place on that network, and from there you can access any other computer, or server, on that network.
