The Ins and Outs of the Chooser (BW)

The first step on the long journey to printing a page successfully is telling your Mac which printer to use for a particular job. In Mac OS 9 and earlier, the place to do this is in the Chooser.

Chooser Basics

The Mac Chooser desk accessory, tucked away under the Apple menu, works as a sort of switching center for choosing and setting up the printer you want to use for a particular job. It's especially handy if you have more than one printer, which is often the case in workgroup settings. The Chooser also lets you make connections to network file servers and other computer devices connected to the Mac via serial ports and USB ports.
