Abstract

This chapter discusses the challenges for machine-to-machine (M2M) mobility management. Connecting a broad range of physical objects requires varying levels of mobility support in M2M networks, due to the nature of connected objects (being humans, cars, robots, etc.). The chapter first reviews the connectivity requirements of the same M2M use cases and existing connectivity infrastructure.
