  2. Draw SF and BM diagrams of any beam subjected to transverse loads and of any shaft subjected to twisting moment and bending moment.

  3. Design machine frames subjected to a direct load and a bending moment.

  4. Design any riveted, or any welded joint subjected to a direct load, a bending moment or a twisting moment.

  5. Design any type of springs.

  6. Design any component such as flywheel, brake, clutch, gear, bearing, etc., using the concepts of mechanics of solids.
