- pan
The panoramic illusion of a sound's placement in space from left to right.
- patch
A collection of sound generator or effects parameters; also called a preset.
- percussion instruments
Instruments that are generally struck to make sound.
- phaser
An effect where the processed audio signal is slightly out of phase or time with the original signal.
- pitch
The discrete frequency of a sound where a low-frequency sound is perceived as a low-pitched note and a high-frequency sound is perceived as a high-pitched note.
- preset
A stored set of parameters.
- punch-in
Recording onto a portion of a previously recorded track. In GarageBand, this refers to region recording.
