EDITING AND ARRANGING REGIONS

You are probably pretty familiar with basic region manipulation by now. In this section, you're going to learn to use the track editor to slice, dice, and arrange Real Instrument regions like a Ginsu master.

Up till now, we've been manipulating regions in the timeline. For Software Instruments, using the timeline to manipulate regions is the way to go. This is because, for Software Instruments, the Track Editor is oriented toward the powerful note editing features we covered in the section “Editing Software Instruments Using the Track Editor” in Chapter 3, “Recording Your Own Music with Software Instruments.”
