30.6. Summary

Mac OS X Server includes Apache for serving complex websites. This chapter described the use of Mac OS X Server's administrative tools for securing the web server in ways that would require considerably more effort in the standard version of Mac OS X. I described recommended settings for basic server options and web services as well as secure realms using HTTP authentication, using SSL to encrypt web data as it travels between client and server. I also discussed setting up Mac OS X Server to function as a forward proxy server for other computers on your network.
