Mail, Contacts & Calendars
This System Preferences pane is new in Lion, but it’s not new to Apple; it’s identical to the one in the iPhone and iPad. It’s a single, handy, central place to set up your email, calendar, and address-book accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange, and so on).
To get started entering your account names and passwords, click one of the big-name logos (Gmail, Yahoo, whatever)—or click the + button below the list. Lion is smart enough to feed the account information here into the right programs (Mail, iCal, Address Book ).
