Using the Internet
The Internet is an important part of the world today. When you connect to the Internet, the world becomes, as it is often described, a flatter place. You can visit places around the globe with a few clicks of a mouse. You can get everything from text to photos to audio to video from the Internet, and distance from the location has no affect on what you can do.
The Internet gives you access to the World Wide Web, which refers to the the www of Web addresses or, it is simply, the Web, where you can find all sorts of amazing things. You can look up recipes from a television show or from a country on the other side of the world, check the stock market or find the location of a farmers' market, stay connected with friends ...
