Managing Files and Folders

A key part of working with any Mac is dealing with the files and folders. Files and folders are how you organize, find, and deal with the data on your computer. This includes everything from photographs to music to video to text documents.

This chapter shows you how to work with and manage files and folders. It does not show you how to best organize them. Your Mac's hard drive is essentially a big storage room with filing cabinets.
