iChat Server is a collaborative tool for brainstorming sessions, virtual meetings, video conferencing, and file sharing. One way to think of iChat Server is as a live version of the wiki tools I describe in Chapter 13.

Podcast Producer has been revamped and supercharged in Snow Leopard Server. But don't let the Pod in Podcast Producer fool you — it's not about iPods. Podcast Producer is an automated video production system that yields professional results. Use it to create training videos, classroom projects, or tech support resources and to distribute your work automatically.

iChat Instant Messaging and More

iChat Server provides instant messaging, audio and video conferencing, and file transferring; it supports Mac, Windows, and Linux clients as well as mobile phones. iChat works on a person-to-person basis and in multi-user situations. iChat Server can also create persistent chat rooms, which let participants leave or log off.
