The Address Book is where you store contact information for your family, friends, and anyone else you want to keep track of. It works seamlessly with the Mail application, enabling you to quickly look up e-mail addresses when you're ready to send a message.

In fact, Address Book works with several applications, both on and beyond your Mac, including the following:

  • Use it with iChat (covered in Chapter 9) to whip up a quick chat with your online friends.
