Personal Information Management Software

Mac OS X 10.5 includes three applications (Figure 1) to help you keep track of and synchronize personal information:

  • Address Book is contact management software. You can use it to record the names and contact information for family members, friends, and business associates.

  • iCal is event calendar software. You can use it to record upcoming events as well as to-do list items.

  • iSync is synchronization software that enables you to synchronize Address Book and iCal information to a Bluetooth or USB mobile phone or Palm OS device.

The Applications folder includes three applications for managing and synchronizing personal information.
