13. Working with Text and Graphics

All operating systems enable you to expand your system by installing new applications, and of course Mac OS X is no exception. However, one of the hallmarks of a good operating system is that it ships with a decent collection of applications that cover the most common computing tasks. Again, Mac OS X fits the bill here by offering a few native applications that enable you to work with text and graphics.
