Summary

This chapter detailed some of the general concepts and commands that can be used to interact with and control the behavior of processes in Tiger. Process management and output redirection are all fundamental Unix concepts, although ones that many Unix users frequently choose to ignore. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with these ideas and commands—they are fundamental to using Unix effectively, if not to simply using it.
