Summary

In this chapter, we looked at customizing user and system settings. First we took a look at user account creation. Then we looked at account security options available in the Security pane, with concentration on FileVault. We also looked at some more general system settings, including the International and Date & Time panes. In addition to general settings, we looked at some voice and accessibility options that can make your computer easier for you to use. These included the voice recognition system, which is a control system for your computer that allows you to speak to your machine, and the VoiceOver system, which describes what is on your screen for you.
