Using Spotlight to Search System Preferences

As you have already seen, the Spotlight search system is new with Mac OS X 10.4. Also new with Tiger is the ability to search the System Preferences directly in the System Preferences. Just type what you are looking for in the Spotlight search box at the top right of the System Preferences and watch the interactivity. With each stroke you type, you can see the matches change. When you've finished, the most likely result has the strongest spotlight, whereas other pertinent results are dimly lit. Figure 8.29 shows a Spotlight search for the term keyboard.
