He assesses, experiments, programs, and writes for the O’Reilly Network and O’Reilly publications. Rael has edited, coauthored, and contributed to various O’Reilly books. He is program chair for the O’Reilly Emerging Technology Conference and O’Reilly Mac OS X Conference, chair of the RSS-DEV Working Group, and developer of Meerkat: An Open Wire Service (http://meerkat.oreillynet.com).
