annotate
  [ [ -D date | -r rev ] -f ]
  [ -l | -R ]
  file 

CVS prints a report showing each line of the specified file. Each line is prefixed by information about the most recent change to the line, including the revision number, the user, and the date. If no revision is specified, then the head of the trunk is used.

The standard meanings of the common client options -D, -f, -l, -r, and -R apply.
