System Preferences → Screen Effects → Activation

Quickly activate my screensaver when I know I’ll be away from my desk for a while?

System Preferences → Screen Effects → Hot Corners; mark a corner of the screen with a check mark to activate the screensaver when the mouse is moved to that corner. Likewise, you can place a minus sign in a Hot Corner to disable the screensaver when the mouse is moved there.

Protect my system from prying eyes while I’m away from my computer?

System Preferences → Screen Effects → Activation → select “Use my user account password” to require a password when waking the system from the screensaver
