Sends AppleTalk Echo Protocol (AEP) request packets to host and displays transmission statistics if successful. The AppleTalk host is specified in either of the following ways:

name:type

The host’s name and type, as shown by the
atlookup
command. If zone is not specified, the current zone is used.-
network-node
The host’s network and node number in hexadecimal, as shown by the
atlookup
command.
Options

packet-size
Send packets of packet-size bytes (a value between 14 and 599). The default value is 64.

npackets
Send npackets number of packets before stopping. If npackets is not specified,
appleping
continues until you’ve sent an interrupt (using Control-C, for example).
