Take advantage of the View Options

In the View Options palette, you can change the size of the icons and the text labels with a couple of clicks, as shown below. This can apply to just the icons in the open, active window or to all windows on the Mac.

To get the View Options palette, make sure you are in the Finder and you have a window open in front of you. From the View menu, choose “Show View Options.” Or Control-click (or right-click) on an open window and choose “Show View Options” from the pop-up menu that appears.

In the example above, I changed the “Icon size” and the “Text size.”
