Customize Your Access with the VoiceOver Utility

Although you turn on VoiceOver in the Universal Access preferences, you also have a utility where you can customize so many aspects of this software. The VoiceOver Utility is in the Utilities folder, which is in the Applications folder. These options are fairly self-explanatory.

In the Verbosity pane, you can control how much your Mac talks to you. As you work with the program, you'll figure out how much you want it to tell you. For instance, you might decide you don't need to know if a word is in bold or italic (the text attributes).
