Spotlight in text-based applications

In some applications on your Mac, you can select a word or phrase and let Spotlight find other occurrences of that word or phrase on your Mac. This might be useful when you're browsing the web and find the name of someone in the news and it makes you say, “Hmm, didn't she send me an email last month?” Or if you're in your word processor and you're writing an essay and you want to find the article you saved earlier on a topic that's mentioned.
