Use keywords when necessary

There are some files that, even with all the options in Spotlight, still won't be found because there is nothing associated with them that Spotlight can decipher. For these files, you can add your own keywords. For instance, the example below is a music file of a Gregorian chant written by Hildegard von Bingen in the early 12^th century. I can search for “music,” “bingen,” and other data, but if I search for “gregorian,” this piece of music won't be found. So I added “gregorian” and “chant” to the Get Info window for this file and for all the other Gregorian chants I have on my Mac. Now Spotlight can find them.

To add a keyword, select the file. Then press Command I to get the Get Info window. Type your keywords into ...
