Sync your iPod
Before syncing any device, you have to first add it to iSync. You only need to do this once. Make sure you have the latest software update on your iPod (check the Software Update preferences, page 60, if you're not sure).
 | To add an iPod to iSync, first connect the iPod to the Mac as usual. Then open the iSync application (it's in your Applications folder). From the Devices menu, choose “Add Device….” In the little window that appears, double-click “iPod.” |
Use iTunes to add music to your iPod. Use iSync to add contacts and calendars.
