Sync with a Mac running an earlier version of OS X

To sync with a Mac that's using an earlier version of OS X, you must first register the other machine. Go to the older Mac and open the iSync application. (If the iSync app is not in the Applications folder, go to www.apple.com/isync and download it.)

1.
Open the iSync application.
2.
Click the “.Mac” icon on the left. The window opens and you'll see a button to “Register.” Click it.
3.
You will be asked to name this computer so you can identify it in a list.
4.
Choose which items you want to sync.

If you ever need to unregister this Mac so it doesn't sync with the others, use this same iSync application. Select this Mac's name in the list, then click the button to “Unregister this Computer.” ...
