Email notification
If someone sends you an email invitation to an event, Mail can automatically put a notification in iCal. First you must make sure this option is turned on in the Preferences.
1. | In iCal, go to the iCal menu and choose “Preferences….” |
2. | Click the “Advanced” icon. Make sure there is a checkmark next to “Automatically retrieve invitations from Mail.” Close the Preferences. |
3. | When you get an email message from someone inviting you to an iCal event, the Notifications box appears in the bottom-left corner of iCal.
If the box isn't showing and you want to see it, single-click the Notifications button, as shown below. |
4. | When a notification comes in, click on it. The Info window will open. In the Info window:
