Automatic Birthdays calendar
iCal can work with your Address Book to create a Birthdays calendar that automatically updates itself.
1. | First you must add the Birthday field to your Address Book, as explained on page 91. |
2. | Then, in iCal, go to the iCal menu and choose “Preferences….” |
3. | Check the box to “Show Birthdays calendar.” |
Double-click any birthdate showing in the calendar to open the Info drawer. There you can click the link to go straight to that person's contact information in Address Book. You can't make any changes to the Birthdays calendar in iCal; in fact, you can't even add alarms to notify you of upcoming birthdays.
