To create an email link on a TextEdit page
1. | Type the text that you want to apply an email link to. This text can be anything—it doesn't have to be the email address itself. |
2. | Select the text you want to apply the link to. |
3. | From the Format menu, slide down to “Text,” then choose “Link….” |
4. | Type into the field: mailto: |
5. | Immediately after the colon you typed (as shown above), enter the entire email address just as you would address it. mailto:name@domain.com |
6. | Click OK. |
