Fax From and To Your Mac

The fax feature in Tiger is very similar to the same feature in Panther. You can send a fax from any application, and you can set up your Mac to receive faxes.

If you use a dial-up modem with a phone cable to connect to the Internet, then you are all ready to fax, as explained below.

But if you have a broadband connection, you must first get a phone cable (a standard rj11 phone cable like you use for your telephone). Plug it into the phone port on your Mac and into a phone jack in the wall—you cannot fax over a broadband connection.
